My father grew up in the transition time between the horse and buggy era and automobiles. He used a saying that “a person was like an old fire horse” meaning when the fire bell rang, the horse was ready to get in the harness and pull the fire wagon to the fire. Stories are told about old, retired fire horses running to the fire by themselves.
When the publishing deadline for Boomer eZine rolls around, I am like an “old fire horse”. I can’t stay away from the keyboard to bang out a short eZine. Linda is not overly pleased since she wants me packing for our vacation in Canada.
When you read this, we will be in Canada. By the help of Aweber.com, the autoresponder we use for handling our mailing lists, you will automatically be sent this on Friday evening, 5/11/07 at 8:00PM EST.
We wish you a great week while we are on vacation.
